Donald Bocchinfuso is an Associate with Bereskin & Parr LLP and a member of the Patents and Life Sciences practice groups.
His practice focuses on all aspects of patent prosecution, opinion work, and enforcement.
Prior to joining Bereskin and Parr he was an intellectual property lawyer at a boutique law firm in Toronto, where his practice encompassed patent and trademark prosecution, prior art searching, patentability opinions, drafting of PCT applications and preparing responses to office actions from Canada and the United States.
He has analyzed portfolios of large multinational companies and assisted in the formulation of portfolio management strategies. He also regularly consults with entrepreneurs and companies of various sizes.
Prior to being admitted to the Ontario Bar, Donald was an articling student in the intellectual property department of an international law firm.
He was active as a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee, and he was the Vice-President and Senior Advisor of the Western IP Association while at law school at The University of Western Ontario.
He is a recipient of the Bereskin & Parr Award in Industrial and Intellectual Property (2016) and the WeirFoulds Intellectual Property Writing Prize (2015).
