Chris has over a decade of experience assisting clients with their IP needs. His practice focuses primarily on patent drafting, prosecution, and opinion work. He also provides assistance with IP portfolio management and licensing issues.
His clients range from large multi-national companies, small and medium businesses, to start-ups and solo inventors.
He has experience and in diverse fields of technology, including: oil and gas extraction and processing; wind and solar energy; consumer appliances; educational products; architectural interiors and office furniture; injection moulding; construction; electric and hybrid-electric vehicle powertrains; medical imaging and devices; nuclear physics; digital image compression algorithms; encryption and authentication systems; online gaming; and mobile communication devices.
Before attending law school, Chris worked as an engineering consultant specializing in vertical transportation systems (elevators, escalators, moving walks, and suspended stage platforms). While in law school, he spent a semester on exchange at Hong Kong University.
Prior to being admitted to the Bar, Chris was both a summer and articling student with the firm.
