R. Scott MacKendrick Elected Alumni Governor of The University of Toronto

We are pleased to announce that partner R. Scott MacKendrick will sit on the Governing Council of the University of Toronto as of July 1, 2022, for the 2022-2025 mandate. The Governing Council oversees the academic, business and student affairs of the University. The powers of a university senate, which ordinarily deals with academic affairs, and of a board of governors, which deals with business affairs, are vested in the Governing Council. 

R. Scott MacKendrick is a dedicated supporter of the University of Toronto. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Patent and Trade Secret law at the Faculty of Law for the past 20 years. His numerous voluntary leadership roles have included serving as President of the University of Toronto Alumni Association from 2016-19, Chair of the University's College of Electors from 2013-16, a past board member of the University of Toronto Engineering Alumni Association Executive, and he has chaired a number of other University committees and been a member of many award panels. R. Scott MacKendrick's many contributions to the University were recognized with an Arbor Award in 2012.
