Andrea Berenbaum will be a panelist at the 2015 Chemistry Career Day on April 9, 2015.
Career Fair 2015 is organized by the University of Toronto ChemClub and the Chemical Institute of Canada. The purpose of this career fair is to equip chemists, particularly graduate students, with skills and connections required to begin their own individual careers. Speakers from a variety of career backgrounds (academia, private sector, non-profit organization) have been invited to give talks or participate in a panel discussion on relevant topics.

Patricia Folkins will be speaking to faculty at the University of Guelph on the basics of IP, including why IP is important, how to protect it, the various types of IP protection, how to recognize when IP has been created and who to talk to. The event is from 12 - 1 PM.
The Faculty Information Exchange Series is organized by the Office of Research Studies, and is a monthly capacity building seminar offered to faculty.

Patricia Folkins will be a judge at the Gryphons' Leading to Accelerated Adoption of Innovative Research (LAAIR) Program at the Catalyst Centre - University of Guelph. Patricia will assessing student research projects, and the plan to derisk it to assist in removing current barriers preventing commercialization.
This program is supported by funding from the OMAFRA - UofG Partnership and Growing Forward 2. Funding aims to accelerate the commercialization and adoption of new products and services originating from innovative research and technology produced at the University of Guelph to improve the competitiveness of the Ontario agri-food and rural economy.
