Shawn JackaB.Sc. (Comp. Sci.), LL.B.Shawn Jacka is a partner with Bereskin & Parr LLP and head of the firm’s Licensing & Transactions practice group. Shawn’s practice focuses on patent and copyright law, licensing, and litigation, with an emphasis on computer-related technology. He has assisted many high-tech start-up companies and multinational corporations develop and maintain their intellectual property portfolios. Shawn is the Vice-Chair of the Communications Committee of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI). He is also a past Chair of the Toronto Computer Lawyers Group (TCLG) and the Toronto Intellectual Property Group (TIPG). Shawn has a keen interest in motorcycles and he is a member of the Canadian Motorcycle Association. |
