Mike’s practice focuses on chemical, pharmaceutical and biotechnology patents, and includes the drafting and prosecution of such patents.  Mike also provides validity and freedom to operate opinions with respect to chemical and pharmaceutical patents.

He is also a member of the firm's litigation practice and is involved in cases relating to life sciences matters.

While completing his M.Sc. at the University of Toronto, Mike conducted research in the areas of physical and synthetic organic chemistry.

Mike has co-authored articles that have appeared in the European Journal of Organic Chemistry, Canadian Journal of Chemistry, Organic Letters, and the Journal of Organic Chemistry.

Mike was both a summer student and an articling student with Bereskin & Parr LLP.
