Kendrick’s practice focuses on patents with an emphasis on computer software and business method patents.
While obtaining his Bachelor of Applied Science degree in engineering science from the University of Toronto, Kendrick graduated with Honours standing and focused on the study of algorithms, programming paradigms, and programming languages. Also, in the graduating year of his Masters degree, Kendrick was awarded a prize for academic excellence in the study of econometric methods and forecasting models.
Kendrick was a part-time lecturer for several years in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto where he taught computing and computer science fundamentals, and object-oriented programming. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University where he has taught courses in the area of patents and trade secrets law.
Kendrick gained valuable industry experience by completing internships at a Toronto-based hospital, a defense agency, a transportation company, and an insurance firm.
Kendrick has served on the Canadian Patent Agent Examination Board.
