Christina Capone Settimi
B.Sc. (Biochem.), LL.B.
Christina practices in all areas of intellectual property law with a focus on patent and trademark litigation and trademark prosecution. Christina has experience in matters involving the life sciences industry, including pharmaceutical patent infringement actions and proceedings under the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance Regulations,) as well as regulatory matters.
Christina holds a B.Sc. (Hons) in Biochemistry and her technical background includes the fields of molecular biology, biotechnology and biochemistry.
Christina obtained her LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario where she concentrated her studies on Intellectual Property, Information, and Technology Law and was the recipient of the MacKewn, Winder, Kirwin Entrance Scholarship in Law and the Bereskin & Parr Award in Industrial and Intellectual Property.
Christina is an active member of the Trade-mark Legislation and Forum and Seminars Committees of Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC).
Christina has lectured on aspects of pharmaceutical patent law at the Faculty of Law and Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering at the University of Toronto as well as at Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in Toronto.
