Regulatory, Advertising & Marketing Practice Profile

The regulatory, advertising & marketing group at Bereskin & Parr is committed to keeping our clients abreast of the regulatory changes that impact the way that they market and advertise their products and services in Canada. We work with clients from all sectors and industries, both domestic and international. We pride ourselves on giving clients practical advice based on a clear understanding of their businesses.

The last few years have demonstrated that the regulatory environment in Canada is dynamic. Since 2000, we have witnessed significant changes – a federal privacy law that regulates how the private sector collects, uses and discloses personal information, the introduction of related provincial privacy legislation, and regulatory initiatives for online marketing & advertising.

The next few years promise to be equally dynamic with the planned introduction of a new regulatory regime for "natural health products", mandatory nutrition labelling, and the regulation of nutrient content claims and health claims.
