Profile
Susan Keri is a partner with Bereskin & Parr, a barrister and solicitor and a registered trade mark agent.
Susan earned an honours B.A. in Soviet and East European relations from the University of Toronto, and a law degree from Queen’s University. Prior to joining Bereskin & Parr, Susan practiced in the area of intellectual property law for over twenty years. Her practice focuses on trade mark filing and prosecution, trade mark oppositions, licensing and opinion work, domain names, and commercial transactions involving intellectual property assets. Susan oversees the securing and protection of foreign trade mark portfolios in various jurisdictions worldwide, with particular expertise in the Russian Federation, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Susan has been listed as a leader in her field in Euromoney’s Expert Guide to the World’s Leading Trade Mark Lawyers, she is Co-Chair of IPIC’s Trade-Mark Legislation Committee, as well as the Canadian Bar Association’s Transactional IP Committee. She is a contributing author to the International Trademark Association’s (INTA) Bulletin, and was appointed to the INTA Bulletin-Features: Policy & Practice Subcommittee.
Susan has published various articles in the field of IP law and has lectured on the topic. She is fluent in Hungarian and is conversant in French.
