Michel Bélanger is a patent agent with Bereskin & Parr and works out of the firm's Montréal office. He is a registered patent agent in both Canada and the U.S.
Michel earned a B.Sc. in chemistry from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. Michel has over 25 years experience in the field of intellectual property, spending over 20 years of his career with firms specializing in IP law in the province of Québec. Prior to joining Bereskin & Parr, he spent several years with a national firm as a patent agent where he was responsible for Canadian and foreign patent portfolios in the areas of electrochemistry, polymer chemistry and metallurgy.
As a member of the firm's biotechnology & pharmaceuticals, and chemical practice groups, Michel's practice focuses on drafting and prosecuting patents with particular expertise in chemistry, mechanical inventions and industrial designs.
