Profile

Mathieu Miron is a technical consultant with Bereskin & Parr and works out of the firm’s Montréal office.

Mathieu earned both a B.Sc. and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from McGill University. While completing his studies, Mathieu was the recipient of awards from both the Fond pour la Formation de Chercheurs et l’Aide à la Recherché (FCAR) and the Cancer Research Society. Mathieu’s doctoral work consisted of studying the link between the initiation of protein synthesis and insulin signaling in the fruit fly drosophila melanogaster. His post-doctoral work focused on DNA microarray analysis and validation. Mathieu is the author of several papers on genetics and related topics.

As a member of the firm’s biotechnology and pharmaceuticals and chemical practice groups, Mathieu’s practice focuses on assisting in the drafting and prosecuting of patents with particular expertise in biotechnology, biochemistry, and biophysics patents.
