Profile

Kendrick Lo is a partner with Bereskin & Parr.

Kendrick graduated from the computer engineering stream of the engineering science program at the University of Toronto, with Honours standing. His research interests included the study of algorithms, programming paradigms and programming languages. Kendrick was subsequently employed for several years as a part-time lecturer for the Department of Computer Science. His teaching interests included computing and computer science fundamentals, and object-oriented programming.

Kendrick obtained a Masters Degree in business administration at the Rotman School of Management. In his graduating year, he was awarded a prize for academic excellence in the study of econometric methods and forecasting models. Kendrick went on to gain industry experience by completing internships at a Toronto hospital, a defense agency, a transportation company, and an insurance firm. Kendrick also received a law degree from the University of Toronto, and articled with Bereskin & Parr before being called to the Bar of Ontario in 2000.

Kendrick has practiced exclusively in the intellectual property field, with an emphasis on drafting and prosecuting patent applications for computer software. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School (York University), where he has taught courses in the area of patents and trade secrets law. Kendrick is currently serving on the Canadian Patent Agent Examination Board.
