Profile
Jennifer is a partner and head of the firm's regulatory, advertising & marketing practice group.
Jennifer is experienced in regulatory matters and privacy law. She reviews advertising and labels for clients in diverse industry sectors from prepackaged consumer goods to regulated products such as drugs, cosmetics and food. Jennifer has represented clients in competitive trade disputes before Advertising Standards Canada and provides advice to clients on federal and provincial privacy legislation for the private sector and consumer protection legislation.
Jennifer is a member of the E-Marketing Council of the Canadian Marketing Association, which is dedicated to keeping the membership abreast of issues surrounding electronic marketing. She is also experienced in trade mark prosecution and enforcement.
Jennifer is a frequent speaker on intellectual property issues such as marketing, advertising, branding, labelling, and privacy law. She has spoken for organizations such as the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC), Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO), and the Ontario Bar Association (OBA).
