Profile
Catherine Lovrics is an associate lawyer with Bereskin & Parr and a registered Canadian trade mark agent.
Catherine earned an honours B.A. in international comparative studies from the University of Western Ontario and a law degree from the University of Ottawa. While earning her law degree, Catherine was the recipient of several awards including the Osgoode Society Prize for Canadian Legal History for overall academic excellence throughout her legal studies. She also received awards in the areas of e-commerce and technology law, medical-legal issues, and business law. Catherine graduated from law school magna cum laude, and was the recipient of the Dean’s Award for her graduating class. She has completed a course in International Trademark Law from John Marshall Law School.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Catherine was both a summer student and articling student with Bereskin & Parr. During her articling term, she co-authored a paper entitled, “The Gatekeeper Role of a Judge in Trademark Cases.”
Catherine is currently a member of the firm’s Trade Mark, Copyright/New Media, and Regulatory, Advertising and Marketing practice groups.
