Profile
Andrew McIntosh is a partner with Bereskin & Parr.
Andrew graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1990 with a B.Sc. Honours in chemistry. He then concurrently attended the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit where he obtained law degrees from each (LL.B. and J.D. respectively) in 1993. Andrew articled with Bereskin & Parr and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1995.
Andrew became a registered patent agent in 1996, and is authorized to represent inventors before both the Canadian and U.S. Patent Offices.
Andrew’s practice focuses on intellectual property litigation relating to patents, trade marks and trade secrets. As a member of both the firm’s litigation, and biotechnology & pharmaceutical groups, he has extensive pharmaceutical patent litigation experience; including notice of compliance proceedings. Andrew regularly represents clients before the Federal Court of Canada and the Ontario Superior Court.
Andrew also advises clients in evaluating and obtaining patents for chemical and mechanical inventors, and with respect to intellectual property due diligence issues.
