Profile

Scott Pundsack is a lawyer, US and Canadian patent agent, and a trademark agent. Scott is a partner with Bereskin & Parr LLP, a co-chair of the firm’s Clean Tech Practice and a co-chair of the firm’s Licensing and Transactions group. He practices out of the firm's Toronto and Mississauga offices.

Scott graduated with honours from the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Toronto and is a registered professional engineer (P.Eng.). After graduating from the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto, Scott trained for the Canadian patent agency exams and was awarded the Edward J. Maybee prize for the highest score in the patent agents qualifying examinations

Scott's practice is focused on the fields of clean technology, energy, and environmental and building science. His patent work includes prosecuting applications, oppositions, appeals and litigation. Scott also negotiates and drafts technology transfer agreements and advises on IP portfolio management issues. He was one of the author’s of the IPIC Licensing Committee report on IP Licensing Issues in Bankruptcy or Insolvency.
